Louie Pratt memorial service will be 10 September at the First church of God at 1:00 PM.

Louis Carroll 'Louie' Pratt passed away Sept. 2 at the age of 95. He was born Dec. 30, 1916, in Hornbrook, Calif. to Carroll Louis Pratt and Florence Louise (Trefren) Pratt.
He graduated high school in Ashland. After graduation, he married Islay M. Sewell. Although the marriage ended in divorce, they were blessed with three children. On June 5, 1955, Louie married Margaret Helen Ware, bringing more children to the family. Louie retired from his job as a switchman on the Southern Pacific Railroad at age 60, enjoying a long retirement of fishing, hunting, camping and crabbing.
He was especially proud of his 59-year friendship with Bill W. and his years of membership in the First Church of God, serving as treasurer and elder until just a few years before his death.
For the past several years his granddaughter, Rhonda Walker, has been his loving caregiver. Louie's sense of humor, ethics, caring and giving are the legacy he is leaving behind.
Surviving Louie are his children and spouses Jim and Connie Pratt, Klamath Falls; Jean and Dick Hamilton, Redmond, Ore.; Lorna and Lewis White, Lebanon, Ore.; Beverly Steele, Albany, Ore.; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren, and his special friend Audrey Williams. Preceding him in death were his wife, Margaret, and sons John Raymond Pratt and Gerald Wayne Wear.
A memorial service for Louie will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 10 at the First Church of God, 2802 Altamont Drive, Klamath Falls, Ore., followed by a reception at the church. In lieu of flowers the family requests you consider a donation in Louie's memory either to the First Church of God, or the Klamath-Lake Counties Food Bank, 3231 Maywood Dr., Klamath Falls, OR 97603.

EASTER SUNDAY 2012
Join us this Easter Sunday as we celebrate the resurrection of our
Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life" John 3:16

First Church of God ~ Klamath Falls in 1941
From its humble beginning in 1941 in a tent on the corner of Altamont and Delaware to its first building in the 50’s, to their remodeled facility and new campus of 2005, the First Church of God is celebrating 70 years of ministry to their neighborhood and community. In 1975, the addition of Miss Muffett’s Learning Center was added as a major ministry out‐ reach to children in the Greater Klamath Basin, ministering to thousands and thousands of children and families for nearly 36 years. We are praying that past pastors, worship leaders, staff and those who used to attend here will come to this wonderful time to honor God for the great things He has done. There will be fellowship and fun for the entire family!

It is for this reason we invite you to come and share and be a part of this 70th Homecoming Celebration beginning Friday, September 23rd ~ Sunday, September 25th.

The theme is: Preach The Word: The Message Never Changes!

Please contact Pastor Greg Baker at (541) 884‐8415 x102 or pg@acts242.us for any questions or RSVP.
